WILL END KCR’S FAMILY DOMINANCE IN MEDAK AFTER AUGUST 15: CM REVANTH REDDY

HYDERABAD: Chief minister A Revanth Reddy declared his intention to defeat former minister and Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao, noting that Rao would need to resign after August 15 if the Congress govt alleviates farmers' loan burdens by implementing loan waiver.

During a street corner meeting in Siddipet on Thursday, Revanth said, "I am announcing from this place that I will organise a large meeting at the same location on August 15, and Harish Rao should be prepared for the challenge."

Recent exchanges between Harish Rao and the Congress have centred on Harish Rao's claim that he would resign from his position if the Congress govt manages to implement the loan waiver scheme.

Speaking further, Revanth emphasised the need to end the dominance of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's family in Medak. "He (KCR) was an MP and then positioned his nephew here. Why should the exploitation of this family continue? Despite warnings from our leaders that the crowd might be small in Siddipet, I came here. However, many of you have turned out to support the Congress here," Revanth told the voters.

Revanth cautioned voters in Siddipet against supporting BRS candidate P Venkatarami Reddy, accusing him of potentially worsening hardships. "Venkatrami Reddy was the collector here. He took over people's land. If he is not defeated now, he will become more arrogant, thinking people won't dare to defeat him. Regarding BJP candidate Raghunandan Rao, there isn't much to say - all these Raos are the same, aligned with parties during the day but sharing the same ideas at night."

Revanth urged voters to support for Congress candidate Neelam Madhu, saying, "He is from the backward Mudiraj community, and Medak was once represented by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Our leader Sonia Gandhi has chosen to give this seat to a candidate from the backward community, adhering to the party's commitment to social justice."
