LISANDRO MARTINEZ SHARES POSITIVE INJURY UPDATE ON INSTAGRAM

Manchester United centre-back Lisandro Martinez has only managed seven Premier League starts this season and sustained a calf strain in training at the beginning of the month.

It has left Erik ten Hag without his best centre-back for most of the season and we’re currently in the middle of yet another injury crisis in defence.

Martinez was one of United’s most important players last season and I don’t think we would have struggled this season had he been fit.

With United qualifying for the FA Cup final against Man City, fans will be hopeful that Martinez will be fully fit for the last game of the season at Wembley. It would be an even bigger boost if he returned quicker than that.

No return date has been set for Martinez following his latest injury.

However, it does look like the Argentina international could be on the verge of returning to the team.

Martinez took to Instagram tonight to inform everyone that he will be returning to action soon.

The centre-back used a ‘soon’ emoji to action his post, which shows a picture of him at Wembley on Sunday.

I would still argue that it may be in our interests to wrap Martinez in cotton wool until the FA Cup final.
